Cruise Ships Chart Course for Cleaner Oceans –

Solvent Free Solutions are a Winner in New Contract

(May 22, 2006)  Barrie, Ontario, Canada -  Winning Brands Corporation (OTC: WNBD - PK) announces that Holland America Line has awarded Winning Brands’ new non-toxic systems to be installed to replace hazardous solvents used commonly in the industry for on-board dry cleaning  The Solvent Free Solutions partnership between Winning Brands Corporation, Bioglobe Industries and appliance manufacturer Miele represents a safer way to keep laundry and oceans clean.  The new system has been awarded service on Holland America Line’s flagship MS Rotterdam now that successful sea trials on several of its other ships in the fleet have proven financially and operationally desirable.  The flagship MS Rotterdam is the standard-bearer for Holland America’s Atlantic fleet of five-star cruise ships. The first Rotterdam set sail in 1872, beginning a Holland America tradition and reputation that continued through the Rotterdam V, making it one of the most beloved ships of all time.

The new cleaning agents are designed for use in a next generation of professional fabric care called “Wet Cleaning” instead of drycleaning because of the use of clean water as the carrier of the new active agents instead of Perchloroethylene. “Perc” is a solvent known in the industry to be toxic and non-biodegradable.

Winning Brands Corporation manufacturers proprietary solutions for the new regulatory environment and works with industry leaders such as Bioglobe and international appliance manufacturer Miele to bring these solutions to the field.  Bioglobe Industries is the distribution partner for Winning Brands Corporation to this sector, while Miele manufacturers the required hardware The group is targeting the conversion of 100 cruise ships internationally over the next 5 years.  Their combined Wet Cleaning solutions requirements will be measured in the millions of dollars annually due to the continuous nature of cruise ship operations, exceptionally high volume laundry requirements on board and cruise ship operators’ growing preference for environmentally responsible practices.
