Winning Brands to Launch Non-Toxic
Cleaners for Fire Fighters
Bunker gear gets new cleansing system to protect fire
fighters
(June 15, 2006) Barrie, Ontario, Canada - Winning Brands Corporation (PINK SHEETS: WNBD) announced today a
strategic alliance with CLOR Group LLC of Oak Brook Illinois to develop and implement new distribution strategies for Winning
Brands’ ReGuard-4 brand Bunker Gear
Cleaning System. ReGuard-4 has been
developed to give fire departments a non-toxic solution for the cleaning of
protective gear worn by firefighters and to prevent an accumulation of contaminants on their equipment. Keeping bunker gear clean is now recognized
as a significant health and safety issue confronting the world’s firefighters. The National Fire Protection Association
estimates that there are over 1,100,000 public firefighters in the USA in
addition to private brigades and the military.
Winning Brands CEO Eric Lehner states that field
trials have been extremely positive, however excellence in business
implementation is just as important.
“CLOR Group management have deep understanding of the needs of emergency
responders worldwide. This strategic
alliance increases the likelihood that a breakthrough product like the ReGard-4 line will actually yield the bottom
line business results it deserves.” says Lehner.
CLOR Group Managing Partner Robert Larsen will apply
the entrepreneurial experience which caused his team at Norcross Safety
Products to grow the business from $40 Million
to $400 Million over the six years of his service there. Norcross is a leading supplier of bunker
gear in North America. CLOR Group
executive Peter Cosentino brings Fortune 500 consumer product experience and an
impressive record for building distribution in a variety of markets. “We
were impressed by the genuine enthusiasm for the ReGuard-4 concept by the fire
departments who tested the products” says Cosentino. “Fire fighters are realists and don’t waste their time with
products or procedures that aren’t useful.”
“So it’s significant these professionals are supportive to grow
awareness of this superior new cleaning system.”
adds Larsen.
Winning Brands estimates the world market for the ReGuard-4 product range to be $100 Million annually
based on the early pattern of use in real settings. Lehner cautions there are always variables that could impede
growth toward this potential, but states a commitment to launch ReGuard-4 is
now justified based on “several years of development, progressive testing,
environmental leadership - and now positive feedback from the market.” “We want and anticipate real results for
Winning Brands’ products, not just dreaming” says Lehner.
